With over 30 years of experience, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals, couples, and groups as they navigate trauma, mood disorders, and substance use challenges.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with additional certifications in addiction (CADC, CCDP) and as a Master Addiction Counselor (MAC).
Trained in Psychodrama, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and EMDR, I bring these approaches together to create a healing space that is both gentle and transformative.
My work is centered on helping you feel safe, seen, and truly understood. I provide guidance, tools, and support to help you uncover and heal old patterns, strengthen your resilience, and nurture trust in yourself and your relationships.
Together, we explore the experiences that have shaped you, work through the challenges that hold you back, and gently guide you toward a more grounded, empowered, and fulfilling life.
Meet Lorie Kurrel LCSW CAADC
Lorie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor with eight years of experience supporting individuals through substance use disorders, trauma, and mental health challenges. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Social Work from Widener University.
Lorie works with both adolescents and adults, with a focus on substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and trauma. Her approach is eclectic and client-centered — she draws on Motivational Interviewing, CBT, strengths-based and solution-focused practices, and person-centered therapy, and holds specialized training in Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) and EMDR.
